With a Masters Degree in music theory andguitar performance from the University of Louisiana at LaFayette, KeithSullivan has taught at colleges throughout the Southeast and currently directs the guitar program at Snead State Community College and Jacksonville StateUniversity. In his first year at JSU, Sullivan brought the Southeastern Guitar Congress to the campus with a list of 4 perfomers, 10 teachers, and one collegiate competition featuring students from 6 states - he is currently developing the next Congress. Noted performances over the years include Lily Afshar , Loncar/Klasinc Duo, Benjamin Verdery, and Gerd Wuestemann. Sullivan is also actively fundraising for scholarship money to be awarded to incoming guitar majors soon. The Voncille Mills Scholarship fund, as it is called, will award $3000.00 beginning fall semester 2007. Sullivan has published four works to date (various instruments with guitar) with the reputable publisher Berben based in Ancona, Italy, and he is finishing his method book for guitar which should be released in 2008. He begins a small collegiate tour in 2008 with his recital program entitled "Sarabande" which features Sarabands throughout the ages.
