Mrs. Kelly Crotts has been a music faculty member of Jacksonville State University since 2003. As Flute Instructor, she teaches applied flute and directs the JSU Flute Choir. Mrs. Crotts received her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Music in Education from Southern Methodist University. Her primary teachers have included Claire Johnson and Nora Lee Garcia. Kelly has also studied and performed in masterclasses with such great flutists as Mary Karen-Clardy, Amy Rice-Young and Bernard Goldberg.

Kelly is currently the 2nd flutist in the Gadsden Symphony Orchestra and performs solo and chamber performances throughout the year. Kelly has also been featured with the Calhoun County Civic Chorale and the Alabama Symphony Strings on a highly acclaimed performance of Carl Stamitz' Concerto in G Major. Mrs. Crotts is also a member of the Faculty Woodwind Trio, which educates students and promotes the importance of chamber music in the university curriculum.
